46+ million of our fellow Americans still live without the basic blessings of life, relative comfort, adequate housing, clothing and food… including many in the Rochester area. Click here to find out more about OFB and get involved this upcoming holiday season – you’ll be glad you did.
Now in its 44th year, this non-profit program provides meals to some of the neediest families in the Greater Rochester Area. Volunteers collect funds, purchase and deliver food cards to local families.

- Nearly half of all children in Rochester live in poverty.
- Rochester ranks No. 3 in overall poverty among the nation’s 75 largest metropolitan areas.
- The city’s rate of extreme poverty (below half the federal poverty line) is 15.4 percent
- The total number of children in poverty is over 21,000.
